2012 Events in Downtown Red Bank

Red Bank Wedding Walk March 24

Retail event for approx. 30-40 participating wedding related businesses from 10:00am-400pm. Brides, grooms and their families are invited to spend a day in Red Bank as we tout the town as a one stop shopping destination for weddings. This will be a self guided walk through Red Bank and complimentary transportation will be provided to transport people across the town.

Red Bank Flavour Fixe March and October

Formerly Dine Downtown. Held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout March and October. The event features participating restaurants offering Prix Fixe menus and specials.

Girls Night Out Spring and Fall

Specials and discounts for ladies in participating restaurants, bars and shops. Gift bags and giveaways. Dates and times to be determined. We are seeking approval for the businesses to be able to put out tables and display merchandise in front of their stores for the weekend.

Red Bank Farmers Market May 6- Mid-November

Every Sunday from May 6 through mid - November, in the Galleria parking lot, Bridge Avenue & West Front Street, 9:00am - 2:00pm. Organized and managed by The Galleria Red Bank.

StreetLife June through August

Live entertainment on the sidewalks of Red Bank on Saturday evenings; 6:00pm - 9:00pm (or as otherwise noted.) Dates: June 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, July 7, 14, 21, 28, August 4, 11, 18, 25. Additional Dates/Times: June 1, 2 and 3 (day/evening, weekend of RiverFest) July 27, 28 and 29 (day/evening, weekend of Sidewalk Sale)

LunchMusic June 6, June 13, June 20 and June 27

Free concerts held at Riverside Gardens Park on Wednesdays in June, from12:00 pm. to 2:00 pm. Same format as last year.

Red Bank Food & Wine Walk Spring, Summer and Fall

This event will be very similar to last summer's very successful Wine Walk. The event features Red Bank restaurants throughout the entire business district. There will be one event one Sunday a month from 4pm to 7pm.

58th Annual Sidewalk Sale July 27, 28 and 29

Sidewalk sale throughout the business district; we are seeking approval for the businesses to be able to put out tables and display merchandise in front of their stores for the weekend. Friday & Saturday, 9:00am - 8:00pm; Sunday, 10:00am - 5:00pm.

Red Bank Guinness Oyster Festival September 23 (Rain Date September 30)

This event will be very similar to last year's very successful fundraiser within the White Street Parking Lot. RiverCenter foresees using the same exact event model as last year. The time for the event would be 12pm to 7pm. White Street would be closed from English Plaza to Maple Avenue on the day of the event from 8am to 7pm. We would like to use Gold Street parking lot again for sponsor parking. We also request permission for our businesses to have one table in front of their businesses during the event and to put out lawn signs at certain traffic intersections in town.

In Style In Red Bank Fashion Event November 1

To be held at the Oyster Point Hotel. Fashion Show accompanied by wine and passed hors d'oeuvres. Time TBD.

Holiday Concert/Red Bank November 23

Town Lighting & Santa Express Santa Express Train from Little Silver to Red Bank (6:25pm), Parade from Red Bank Train Station down Monmouth Street to Holiday Express concert on Broad Street for annual Town Lighting, 7:00pm.

Red Bank Gingerbread Walk November 23- December 21

Professionally decorated Gingerbread Houses will be displayed at participating businesses (store hours vary) in the Red Bank Business District.

Holiday Horse & Carriage Rides November 24 - December 22

Classic Horse & Carriage rides through the business district. Saturdays, 1:00pm - 5:00pm. Two locations are 26 Broad Street (Murphy Style Grill) and Bridge Avenue (across from The Galleria) Dates: Nov. 26, Dec. 3, 10, 17, 24.

Holiday Harmonies November 24- December 22

Musical entertainment on Saturdays, from 12:00pm - 3:00pm, in the Red Bank Business District. Dates: Nov. 26; Dec. 3, 10, 17, 24.

The Count Basie Theatre

The Count Basie Theatre, a 1926 historic theatre, is located in the heart of downtown Red Bank, New Jersey. Just minutes from the ocean, Red Bank is a beautiful and charming town built on the banks of the Navesink River. The Count Basie Theatre alone draws over 130,000 thousand people annually, in addition to the thousands who flock to Red Bank's annual film and music festivals. Two River Theater Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias, produces classics, contemporary plays and innovative education programs in a state-of-the-art theater complex that opened in 2005. Founded in 1994 by Joan and Dr. Robert M. Rechnitz, the company's first three seasons were produced on the campus of Monmouth University, where Dr. Rechnitz was a Professor of American Literature.
